According to many, blockchain is the New Internet and, beyond the aspects concerning financial transactions, it can represent the Internet of Value in the broadest sense of the term. Blockchain has the potential to assume a general political value, characterizing itself as a form of democracy in the name of digital qualities, such as: decentralization, transparency, sharing, security, the immutability of data and information over time. It is also built on characteristics such as trust and community that can be cornerstones of a democratic and supportive society.

Work and blockchain
Speaker: Marco Bentivogli
We are on the eve of the “second leap forward of humanity”, that will change everything. ICT technologies, and blockchain, will produce unprecedented changes in society and in the world of work. Shred records – blockchain – are the new infrastructure, a new digital public asset, in the sense that it doesn’t get used up; quite the contrary, the more it is used, the more value it gains for the whole public and the community. The development of blockchain will lead to a new industrial model that enables the decentralization of value among all the subjects of the supply chains, contrary to what happens with the gatekeepers, i.e. the platform managers. New production models, product life cycles and control of the recycling chain, remuneration management, new forms of representation, and smart contracts are just some of the applications made possible thanks to blockchain that aim to “make work more human”.
