The increasingly pervasive diffusion of digital technologies and the exponential increase in computing skills are radically transforming society, from politics to scientific research, from social relations to forms of work, in a way that is far from transparent. Very few private groups have the opportunity to follow processes on a global scale, drawing huge profits from the information that each of us produces every day. Algorithms, often described as neutral and objective instruments, judge doctors, restaurants, teachers and students, grant or deny loans, evaluate workers, influence voters, monitor our health. Datacrazia investigates, with a multidisciplinary and critical spirit, the risks and potential of new technologies, trying to imagine a future that lives up to our expectations.
