TANGERINE DREAM – “QUANTUM OF ELECTRONIC EVOLUTION”

One of the biggest icons of electronic music, Tangerine Dream has painted stadium-sized soundscapes for no less than half a century. Found and led by Edgar Froese, the German group has pioneered ambient and krautrock (or ”Kosmische Musik”), released over 100 studio albums and created over sixty film scores. Following Froese’s passing, the group’s remaining members Thorsten Quaeschning, Ulrich Schnauss and Hoshiko Yamane have continued to fulfill the founder’s musical visions both through live performances and on the album Quantum Gate (nominated for the Prog Music Awards 2018) released last year. Froese’s widow Bianca Froese-Acquaye is working closely with the band and † the legacy of her husband.
