We cannot think of a futuristic world, made of robots and industry 4.0, without thinking about the safety of information and of Internet-connected devices. The robotics industry is destined to face the same issues that IT companies have had to face in the past decades. This is of particular concern when it comes to critical functions, such as those carried out by surgeon or military robots, but it is also a challenge for domestic robots that are apparently harmless, such as the Roomba and videoconference robots.
