The path consists of 6 steps:

  • e-motion (by Fiore Basile e Claudia Simonelli – Fabctory): E-motion is an interactive installation that explores the potentialities of man-machine interaction between the recognition of emotions and digital art. The installation uses computer vision techniques and a framework to recognise various emotional states thanks to a series of smart mirrors equipped with sensors that can recognise the
emotions with which the different interfaces are controlled. Visitors are guided during the experience and can dive
further in the subject by watching the video and the behind-the-scenes of the entire installation.
  • Internet of things (by Mattia Crivellini, Lorenzo Fiorentino, Luca Dori, Francesca Gorini): What is the Internet of Things? How does it influence our lives? Let us find out what 5 billion devices are doing 5 billion devices all over the world, connected to the Internet as we speak. A guide will lead us through 5 stations to clarify things and show us how the Internet becomes concrete in our everyday lives, with the goal of making it easier or providing us with more information. We will understand what objects – and more than objects – can be connected to the Internet and dive further into important subjects, such as a knowledgeable use of the Internet.
  • Mixed Reality 2 (by Andrea Camporeale, Luca Gronchi, Alice Tavoni): in Mixed Reality 2, the visitor can choose between story and riddle. In the story path you can see and hear a story for children, which is made with an original approach. The riddle will ask visitors to solve the puzzle in order to save their life… The installation is experienced in first person in environments acquired from the real world or digitally created. 3D objects, 360° photos and videos, traditional video and audio are the ingredients of this installation, which is easy and intuitive to use: you can interact with the system by rotating the head in the desired direction, walking and interacting with the VR controllers.
  • Images in the era of AI (curated by Roberto Malfagia – La Jetèe production): Ways of seeing is an interactive installation based on the work of photographer Antonio Viscido. The black and white portraits taken during the festival by the photographer will be uploaded to an artificial intelligence system that will modify them in real time based on the viewer’s reactions to the original image.
  • I also talk to the walls (curated by Alessia Giannoni – COSPE and Alessandra Falconi, supported by the Zaffiria staff): participated video installation prepared by young people with digital and narrative content to combat hate speech in an artistic and interactive form. Event realized within the #SilenceHate project, funded by the Rights, Equality and Citizenship Programme (2014-2020) of the European Union by UNAR – Department for Equal Opportunities.
