The workshop presents an approach to media literacy in multicultural contexts elaborated within the European project Media Education for Equity and Tolerance (MEET) to promote critical and intercultural comprehension as well as a wise use of media amongst adolescences. The Media and Intercultural Education Framework (MIEF) is introduced first, a theoretical tool used to support teachers in the definition of relevant objectives for intercultural education and media education. Later on, the workshop introduces the principles that characterise an inclusive didactic approach inspired on the Universal Design for Learning (UDL) and revisited in the light of socia-cultural theories of learning. Finally, good practices of media education and intercultural citizenship education are share based on videogames and participative video journalism.
